Environmental licensing

Authorization from the environmental agency for an activity to proceed, on a construction site or in a rural area.

  1. 01

    What it is

Environmental licensing is the procedure in which the agency assesses the project and authorizes the activity, subject to conditions and studies.

  2. 02

    Which activities need a license

It depends on size and potential impact. Construction, land subdivisions, industry and rural activities may need a license. DCORP reviews the case and tells you which path applies.

  3. 03

    Operating license

This is the authorization for the activity to operate, issued after the preliminary and installation licenses when the agency requires them.

  4. 04

    Farms, construction and rural areas

Licensing applies to urban projects and to activities in the countryside, including farms. The study changes according to the land use.

  5. 05

    Neighborhood Impact Study

The Neighborhood Impact Study (EIV) analyzes how the project affects its surroundings: traffic, neighbors and infrastructure. It is required when municipal law or the licensing process calls for it.

DCORP handles the environmental process through to the competent agency.
